A little bounce before we take the big plunge. . . .

Hello All!

I hope that you are all enjoying the end of your summer as it quickly slips through our fingers into fall.
Things are going well for us. Currently, (as of August 1st) we are homeless, jobless bums who would be living out of our car if it weren't for kindness of others. :-) This week we are living in Ames with Aubrey, Michael and Aeris. Their sun porch is lovely and cool and is perfect for sleeping. Much better than our Corolla.

While we are in Iowa we have been thoroughly enjoying the Iowa State Fair. So far this week, we've been there 5 days! Amazing, isn't it? We've seen a lot of really cool stuff, including rolling pigeons and the fiddle contest (which is always a favorite).

As you can see from our countdown, our time here is quickly running out. It feels a little bit like standing on the edge of a high-dive, looking over the edge. It is a little scary, but also very exciting. We have our bags mostly packed and our affairs mostly in order. I am beginning to miss all of you already. I might not be very good at correspondance, but I will make a valiant attempt to keep my blog updated so you can at least know that we are still alive. Please email us and let us know how you all are doing! We'd love to hear from you.

hugs and sloppy kisses,

jo
